I didn't know that about the French, though I've travelled to France several times. I'm sure I've stepped in it there several times, there and many other places around the world.

But I do get what you mean. I get angry too about the lack of respect and caring for things like not using an indicator or randomly stopping without warning when driving, or pushing by me in a grocery store aisle without an excuse me. That's exactly how I feel: disrespected.

I've been wondering lately if that's really how I should feel. Maybe they don't know any better. And is it worth my blood pressure going up because someone else is a jerk? As you point out though, it's balancing that with how much shit we should put up with before we push back.

I haven't let go of it yet (my wife will testify to that... especially to my lack of patience with selfish drivers! lol) but I'm trying.

Or, at least, I'm trying to try...
