🔓How to unlock your potential with Dr. Lise Janelle
Dissolve your self-sabotaging subconscious beliefs 🧠
Welcome back to The Microdose Diet a newsletter about personal and professional development using alternative medicines, such as microdosing psychedelics. 🍄
In the latest episode, I engaged in an insightful discussion with Dr. Lise Janelle, author, speaker and coach extraordinaire to Olympic Athletes, Entrepreneurs and Executives. Today, Lise is going to share with you her unique approach to unlocking your full potential. 🔑
She is working on her third book “Unstuck” with her friend Jack Canfield, yes the world-celeb author of The Success Principles and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Before we dig right into it I want to mention to you, Dear Reader, that Lise and I have known and worked together for many years. Lise has been instrumental in helping me dissolve my self-sabotaging subconscious beliefs and unlock my potential. I have a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude for Lise.
Watch or listen to our discussion to understand how you too could benefit from Lise’s approach.
In this episode, we discuss many exciting topics that will make you think twice about what might be blocking your own success in relationships, health, wealth, or career.
🏈Why removing self-sabotaging beliefs is the key to your success
Size does matter! Your can compare the size of your conscious mind to the size of a football and the size of your subconscious mind to the size of a football field. This obviously means that you should tend to your subconscious mind in priority!
Too often we focus on the tip of the iceberg and end up being disappointed by the lack of long-term results. Starting by deprogramming what drives us underneath it all (usually the basic needs for survival and security) will, on the contrary, brings tremendous results.
🚧Frequent self-sabotaging beliefs
After working with thousands of people Lise has seen several beliefs working overtime on the unconscious minds of many of us:
My success will hurt others, hence it is bad to be successful, and I am a bad person if I am successful.
I can’t earn more money than my father.
I can’t have an easier life than my family.
As Lise’s wisely mentioned in our discussion, one doesn’t need to have lived a traumatic experience to have self-sabotaging beliefs. These limiting beliefs can develop from the most mundane experiences.
👓From Stage 1 to Stage 2, I was blind now I see
The first part of our life is about taking in the external world and making our decisions, living our lives, based on outside circumstances. Stage 1 is built on the false belief that one is “not good enough” and has to appear a certain way to be safe and secure.
Stage 2 (and yes, you get it, many never make it to stage 2), is about purposefully crafting one’s life, feeling safe and secure as we are. This stage requires having released conditioning, and healed emotional wounds.
🤼What type of “childhood bootcamp” did you follow?
The musical bootcamp: one was much more supported than challenged by their environment.
The athletic bootcamp: one was equally challenged and supported by their environment.
The Navy SEAL bootcamp: one was much more challenged than supported by their environment.
These different bootcamps will have different implications on their “participants”. They also have different pros and cons when/if graduating from Stage 1 to Stage 2.
🖋️How to work with Lise
I worked with Lise and recommended to many of my friends to do the same. After collaborating with Lise, they themselves recommended Lise to their own family members and friends!
If you want to learn more about her programs you can check her website; I participated in Lise’s Extreme Freedom Weekend (several times!) and one-on-one coaching (several years!).
